These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of kobytool.com and the free browser-based tools provided by Kobytool ("Kobytool", "we", "us", or "our") (collectively, the "Service"). Please read them carefully. By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms. You must be at least the age of majority in your jurisdiction, or have the consent of a parent or guardian, to use the Service.
2. Description of the service
Kobytool provides a suite of browser-based utilities for documents, design, social content, developers, and everyday calculations. The core features of every tool are available free of charge, and most processing happens entirely within your browser. Certain tools offer an optional "Pro" unlock that adds features such as removing watermarks, premium templates, batch processing, and high-definition or print-quality exports.
We may add, change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service (including individual tools or features) at any time, with or without notice.
3. Payments & refunds
One-time purchases. Pro is offered as an optional one-time purchase on a per-tool basis, typically priced between US$4.99 and US$9.99 per tool. There is no subscription and no recurring charge — a Pro purchase unlocks the relevant Pro features for that tool.
Payment processing. All payments are securely processed by our third-party payment provider, Creem. By making a purchase, you also agree to Creem's applicable terms. We do not receive or store your full payment card details.
Refunds. Because Pro unlocks digital functionality immediately, all sales are generally final. However, if a Pro feature does not work as described, or you were charged in error, you may request a refund by emailing support@kobytool.com within 14 days of purchase with your order details. We will review each request in good faith, and approved refunds are issued through Creem to your original payment method. Nothing in this section limits any non-waivable statutory rights you may have under applicable consumer law.
4. Acceptable use
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree that you will not:
- Use the Service to create, process, or distribute content that is unlawful, infringing, fraudulent, defamatory, or harmful;
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to, interfere with, or disrupt the Service, its servers, or its security features;
- Circumvent, disable, or otherwise bypass any payment, licensing, or access-control mechanism (including the Pro unlock);
- Reverse engineer, scrape, or copy the Service for the purpose of building a competing product, except to the extent permitted by law;
- Use the Service to violate the rights of any third party, including intellectual property and privacy rights;
- Use automated means to overload or abuse the Service.
5. Intellectual property
The Service, including its name, branding, design, text, graphics, user interface, and underlying software, is owned by Kobytool or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your own personal or internal business purposes. These Terms do not grant you any right to our trademarks or branding.
6. Your content
You retain all rights to the files, text, and data you process using the Service ("Your Content"). Because the tools run client-side, Your Content is generally processed within your own browser and is not uploaded to or stored on our servers. You are solely responsible for Your Content and for ensuring you have the necessary rights to use it. You are responsible for keeping your own backups; we are not a storage service.
7. Third-party services
The Service relies on third-party providers, including Creem for payment processing and Vercel for hosting. Your use of those services may be subject to their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the acts, omissions, or content of third parties, and any output generated by the tools that you choose to use elsewhere is used at your own risk.
8. Disclaimers ("as is")
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that any output (such as a generated document, contract, invoice, or calculation) is accurate, complete, or suitable for your purposes. The Service does not provide legal, financial, tax, or professional advice, and any templates or generated documents are provided for general informational purposes only — you are responsible for reviewing them and, where appropriate, consulting a qualified professional.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event will Kobytool or its operators be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising out of or relating to your use of (or inability to use) the Service. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability for all claims relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you actually paid to us for the Service in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or (b) US$50. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Kobytool and its operators from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your misuse of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. You agree that any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Kobytool's principal place of business, except where mandatory consumer-protection laws of your country of residence provide otherwise.
12. Modifications to the terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be made clearly available here. By continuing to use the Service after the revised Terms take effect, you agree to be bound by them. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the Service.
